son, you are having too much wheat...

i actually heard a mother say that to her child last night at tatiana's school picnic. i swear the kid only had 5-6 whole grain crackers on his plate. it has promted me to think what the medical ill-effects of too much wheat are??? i'll let you know when i research further. i was a complete rebel at the event by brining a diet dr. pepper! this place is WEIRD!

celebrating

my kids maturing! harrison and tatiana have both just blossomed these last couple of months. both have done great in school this year and really learned a lot but more importantly their little characters are shaping into something actually pleasant! aleksandra is still fiesty as ever but our lover girl and brennan is our comedian. he loves to make all of us laugh and even cracks him self up.

argh!

our chubby (ok-fat!) little baby boy just turned 6! he is so tall and lanky you all better take back those jaguars linebacker comments from his youth! pirate birthday party..meet jack sparrow jr.

rockettes here we come...

our tatiana had her dance recital last week. they did a tap number to new york, new york. it was precious. she got her standing ovation and her bouquet at the end of the performace. broadway or radio city music hall can't compare to our day--it was so cute.

i have said we are taking the approach of our distant father, abraham, and just accepting wherever God would have us go. i didn't know he would challenge me this much though. i thought the gray mini-van with 4 car seats had humbled me.....please pray for me that i would maintain open hearts to serve wherever god can use us and for michael as he tries to discern what is best for our family. this is a hard and exciting time.

summer fun

we are off to pvb in June and my sister will join us for a family vacation and then to cali in july for our 10 year anniversary trip. i love summertime!

fairy cometh

and passed out more cash than we hoped!

tatiana went to the dentist to get her teeth looked at because the "growd up" was behind the baby teeth. next thing you know we are putting her lip and teeth "to sleep" and the plyers came out and that baby tooth was twisted out. mommy had a harder time that tatiana! we made the big deal, got the certificate, the new tooth box and began our anticipation for the arrival of the tooth fairy. luckily tatiana had heard the tooth fairy only leaves a dollar (thank goodness we moved from texas where the local fairy there was leaving a lincoln for her friends!).

everyone was very excited and in all the hullabaloo the kids were wrestling with daddy and as ususal i hear a whack and whaling. i don't normally see blood though. back to the dentist the same day with aleksandra and take a look see:




no two front teeth for a couple years. there was some question initially whether it was harrison or daddy who actually made contact with her mouth but she confirmed on the way to the dentist it was daddy's leg. tatiana's looks like a rotted out tooth on the bottom in this picture but that is actually a hole with the new "growd up" tooth already in behind the hole.

harrison was initially mad as a hornet that his sisters both lost teeth before him and he is the oldest. he said if brennan lost a tooth before him he would never come out of his room. now he is loving telling everyone that his dad kicked his sister in the mouth and that is the only reason she got to lose two teeth.

never a dull day at the campbell house! as if it is not crazy enough we had two extras overnight this week. kurt and shannon were off for an overnight away so we have asheton (3) and kai (9 mos). with the neighbor kid over one afternoon i had 7 in the house. i reached a new level of freaked. i could not do it!
